I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was super convenient, being right across from the train terminals, close to the canal, and within walking distance of all the main sites in this city. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a great indoor swimming pool and a very nice breakfast buffet. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and the high ceilings and spaciousness added a touch of luxury to my stay.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Large rooms, private parking. Any problems about the free WiFi. Recommend this hotel in Carcassonne.

We loved the hotel! Having read the other reviews I was a little apprehensive, but the hotel was great, the staff were pleasant, the location was good - for the price we couldn't have asked for more! We both felt we'd come back again!
The smell of the bathroom wasn't great - a little bleach wouldn't have gone amiss!! We didn't use the restaurants because there were some really great little cafes and restaurants nearby.

Very good location for the 'new' city and restaurants, easy, cheap parking nearby and the Petit Train for the old Cité.
Next to the park for the free concerts during July & August so a bit noisy in the front,

It is centrally located and is a wonderful traditional building with a lot of nice features
The customer service was very disappointing particularly when we had a problem with the key card and lack of towels in the room. The superior room is not worth the extra cost.

The Hotel had a really really nice decor. It felt like being back to the forties. Very elegant and spacious too. The staff were nice and the entrance hall is to die for. The entrance is actually more of the kind you would expect in a four-star hotel. The rooms are relatively spacious with a handy door to separate the bedroom from the main door. The bathroom was alright. The room was fairly bright as the window was huge. The location was fantastic, literally opposite the train station.
There were no working phones and no computers! I was surprised that such a big hotel did not have an internet point with one or a few computers to use. The breakfast was not included which is annoying as 72 Euros per night is not cheap in my opinion. There was no fridge in the room, no maps and no brochure whatsoever. Not even a turisty itinerary or a shopping advert. Weird. Rooms can get hot with no air conditioning.

We had a wonderful stay at this grand 1915 hotel. The location was perfect, situated on a small hill overlooking a beautiful verdant park. It was also right across the road from the train station, making it very convenient for us. The hotel exuded old charm and character, which was a refreshing change from the modern style. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, providing us with helpful sightseeing information. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom had attractive floor tiles. In addition, the breakfast offered a wide choice of delicious options.
That the hotel is located on a noisy road. However, the view of the park and the canal du midi more than made up for it.

The hotel receptionist at check-in (I think she was Cerise?) spoke English well and was very hospitable. Also very close to the train station (which is also very convenient for the Navette bus service to the airport). The jacuzzi was great for relaxing.
At 5am on my first night, the old bath plumbing was started making a high-pitched whining sound (instead of complaining, I just put in earplugs). I would imagine they would be able to do something about it on Monday. The staff on on my first morning did not have great comprehension of English. Also, the 10 euro charge for the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym (the gym is just one multi-purpose machine by the swimming pool).

It was close to the train station and walking distance to the old city
The hotel staff tried to charge extra on top of our reserved price with Booked.net Even though we had email confirmation of our price, they still tried to charge extra. It took 20 mins of waiting and explaining for them to accept our reservation. We had also booked twin rooms and were booked into double bed rooms. The rooms were small, the beds not particularly comfortable and the bathroom was very basic.

Conveniently located near the train station and main shopping street. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view.
The hotel was badly staffed and it was difficult to get the attention of someone at reception. The furnishings were shabby and dusty.

The swimming pool and the position of the hotel, the staff were polite.
They did not have our reservation when we arrived but did sort out their error. The breakfast was a bit hectic on the first morning - they should have had more staff on. The forgot to turn on the sauna when we asked them to.

The location was ideal for me as I needed to be in that specific area. Across the road from McDonalds that has free wifi for the price of a coffee. Close to the centre of Carcassonne and the city centre attractions. Nice lobby and bar area.
The noise, windows vibrated in my room when a bus went past, very little hot water. Safe did not work when I arrived and I had to wait 90 mins to have it reset. Door card had to be replaced as faulty on the second day. I had a connecting room and noisy neighbours. I speak good french, but if I was struggling the staff made no attempt to help with the language barrier. Charge of ten euro's for wifi. I arrived in the restaurant on the Sunday at 1.20 and asked if I could eat, waitress said yes but failed to take my order by 1.30 and they shut the restaurant so I had to find somewhere else to eat. Overall it was the lack of customer service that really dissapointed me.

Despite its need for refurbishment, the Hotel conveniently located right at the train station and still within walking distance from the Cite, offering easy access to Carcassonne's primary tourist attractions. the rooms are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of hot water and room heating. the staff is friendly and helpful, quickly addressing any issues that may arise. Guests can also enjoy a lovely view of the verdant park from the hotel. the hotel is close to the main shopping street and offers a delightful breakfast with a variety of options.
The hotel, unfortunately, lacks the necessary refurbishment to match its once-grand reputation.
